Members of the Advisory Council are recommended by the Executive Council, and subsequent appointment letters will be issued by Tsinghua University Education Foundation to confirm candidates for tenure of 3 years. The appointment is renewable with the support of the Executive Council.

The members consist of Malaysians of different ethnic groups who are leaders in industries of business and education sectors and have contributed positively to the development of Malaysia-China education & economy sectors.

The Advisory Council will serve to guide and assist the Executive Council to expand the long development of education & economy in Malaysia and China as well as to carry out activities on behalf of Tsinghua University in Malaysia. Non-residents could be appointed.

The Executive Council consists of Malaysian leaders and representatives from various sectors who care about and support the educational & economic exchanges between Malaysia and China. The Executive Council comprises:

• Secretary-General x 1
• Deputy Secretary General x 2
• Treasurer General x 1
• Deputy Treasurer Generals x 3
• Executive Council Members x 20

The Council President is to be held by a Malaysian who has contributed immensely to Malaysia-China Education & Economic exchanges. Non-residents could be appointed however the total number shall not exceed 1/3 of the total members of Executive Council.

The following Sub-Committees have been set up to assist in carrying out specified duties: Membership Management Committee, Malaysia-China Economic & Education Forum Committee, Education Collaboration Committee, Education Foundation Committee, and also others Committees to promote recruitment, mutual visits and short courses.

The Secretariat is tasked with handling the daily operation of the Council, and is also responsible for the daily works of the Executive Council and other related jobs to maintain a seamless work flow between President, Secretary General & the Secretariat.
